Stuck? Denial?

I have been stuck. I have been feeling lazy. My favorite thoughts have been "I don't want to" or "I will do it later". At first I thought, like everything else, this too will pass.

Guess what? It hasn't. I am stuck. Wait - no I am not stuck. I am backsliding.

So I have been searching for motivation. Something that will jump out and make me feel that desire again. I've been reading motivational blogs, articles, listening to motivational speakers, music ----- it isn't happening. I bought new running shoes - they are still in the box.

Discovery? Denial is a tricky thing. All that listening, wishing, hoping doesn't work without action. Those motivational things are great tools - but like the lawnmower - they don't cut the grass if they aren't turned on and put into action.

Thank you spark friends who gave me some tips. Soooo Right here, right now I am taking action.

I am making a list. I am going to do the things on the list. Yep..... JUST DO IT!!!

Sooooo..... This is virtual me at my current weight.

AND..... This is virtual me when I get to my goal weight

My list today (as of now)

1. go out for a walk on my lunch hour
2. drink all my water
3. have a minimum of 10,000 steps on my fitbit
4. forgive myself and move on

Tomorrow will be another list......and more action......

    Keep working that list and you will get where you want to be! I know you can do this...but more importantly, YOU know you can do this!

    Just like when you started this journey. Be fearless just for today. Do it just because you are tired of feeling stuck, lazy or unmotivated. After you do it, you WILL feel good and that's where motivation comes from. Maybe your new sneakers need some jazzy laces to make them sparkle. That could be your first reward.

    You WILL accomplish your list. I like to say you WILL instead of you can, because yes you may say can, I Will almost obligates you to proceed with your plans!

    Sometimes the secret is to just do it. Fake it until you make it. FORCE yourself to do those things you know you have/want to do. Sometimes the motivation is how we feel after we do something we were putting off. So keep your head up, keep pushing - and make yourself the motivation!
