Non-scale victory!!!! emoticon

I am so excited that I can fit a belt I purchased more than 5 years ago! Never thought I'd see the day that I could wear it. My last belt I work I was on the 2nd notch from the end...and the belt was huge. I used that as an indicator of my inches because the number on the scale are so finicky. Any way, I went down 6 notches - which equals 6 inches. Let's say I was so excited yesterday!

I am following a blog, niashanks.com and she is such an inspiration on telling me that the scale can be a liar and that fat and muscle weighs the same but are composed differently. I needed that. She also encourages ditching the scale - and I am an addict when it comes to weighing myself. After thanking God for keeping me, my family and friends overnight and praying for the less fortunate, I use the bathroom, and step on the scale - EVERY morning.

Well I am committing to ditching the scale until May 23rd. I took my measurements yesterday and weighed myself and I am committed to making good and healthy choices and exercising at least 5 days a week and weights at least 3 days a week.

All I want is to be healthy and my waist to be less than 34.5 (which is what I measured yesterday).

This is my manta

Until next time!
