Week #3 - Challenge Report :)

Wednesday, April 16, 2014

Okay, so what if it's not going exactly as I expected...or more precisely, so what if the blessed SCALE isn't going in the direction I expected. But there IS progress nonetheless!

With 22 of the 30 days done, I'm frankly feeling more healthy than when I started, but the greater effect seems to be in my attitude. I'm frankly "engaged" in my day to day life, feeling more connected to myself than in a long while. I know that must sound odd...

I've added a qigong class (Dragon's Way variety) and have been paying more attention to increasing unusual fruits and vegetables in my daily diet along with less salt and less sugar. Interesting how spring gives the special sort of energy needed for change.

Thanks to each of you for your comments, your questions, your cheers, and your support in all sorts of ways as I try to break out of the winter rut into which I fell. You guys are awesome!

XO,
Gail

Those daily changes will make a big difference. Forget the scales. Concentrate on those fruits and veggies.

Congrats on your lifestyle changes and how it is making you feel. That is awesome! The less processed foods I eat the better I feel and sugar (although I love it) is just nasty - it makes me crave more and more!! Don't worry about the weight for now just enjoy your more "engaged" life! emoticon

You're doing great, just hearing how you feel proves it. I'm sure that dumb ole scale will catch up soon. Work on how you feel, not how "it" is moving or not.

I know what you mean about feeling more connected to yourself. I sounds like no matter what the scale says, this is a very healthy step for you.

Sounds like you are making progress, sometimes we just have to look beyond the scale and notice other positive changes. That is what you are doing!

Just keep going, that scale will move eventually! Perhaps each time you exercise or walk, do an extra 5 minutes, push yourself little harder! Tweek the program here and there till you see the scale going down again. I am a master at maintenance now...LOL...now I know what I need to do after vacation is over. Decided against the Fast Metabolism diet as a whole, but liked some of the points on healthy eating! Going to implement them, like gluten free, no caffeine, no soy, instead of peanut butter have the healthier almond or cashew butter. No artificial sweeteners or diet products. Made a lot of sense to me! Have a great day!

Yes ma'am!! I am on the same track! The scale isn't making a lot of adjustments, but my attitude is. I'm feeling more like the woman who wants to make the correct choices. I look for the non-scale victories instead of saying "one more day won't matter" even though I know that it truly will. Yes, I am changing. My Spring Me has kicked into high form and I like her! It's a pleasure to be on this journey with you!
