Flustered.

A lot, and I mean A LOT has happened over the last couple of weeks. It's been very stressful. I am in a lot of pain as well. I think I should start doing Yoga again and that might help. It's mostly my neck these days, but my back and feet have been doing their fair share of chiming in.

Usually, I can say "well, the pain was bad and I couldn't work out, but at least I ate right". Not this time. The last week, almost two, I have been eating terribly. I gained back four (if not more by now) of the recent 6 pounds I had lost. I am so disappointed in myself!

I have so much to do between editing, cleaning and trying to get enough rest to heal from this cold asap.

I guess this blog doesn't really have a point....OR a very positive tone! i just wanted to post an update. I'm hoping I can get myself back on track. I'm hoping that the pain is simply caused by lack of exercise!

    blogging is for you.. if anyone else benefits, more power. I hope you feel better and that your pain is nothing serious. I started seeing a chiropractor 2 wks ago because of years of chronic back and hip pain and start massage therapy next Saturday. I don't know why I waited so long. take care of yourself and have a great month!! emoticon

    Well, you've had a setback, and I can tell you're really frustrated right now, but the only way to change the situation is to just get back to work. Start making meal plans and tracking your food, and trying to get ten minutes of activity a day however you can. Especially if you're sore, even though lying around seems like a good solution, actually moving a little and stretching helps more. You were so close to the 250's! You have to just think about that when you lose your motivation and you'll lose that weight and keep it off.

    I think sharing your honest feelings about what's going on can be the point of your blog. As for the pain, hopefully as you continue to do daily activities, that will lessen week by week.

    Prayers you will feel better soon. I finally learned (took me long time) One day at a time & if not that One moment at a time. Please from my experience put he bad feeling about bad eating in a mental box & throw the mental box out. I picture it tied with a big bow and toss it. It feels like a weight is being lifted.

    My blogs are not always uplifting, or have a point either, but that is ok; sometimes we just have to vent!

    I live with chronic pain, and sometimes when I am having a worse than usual flareup, it's hard to care about doing things "right". I find that gentle exercise helps though; even if it's not something that is burning a lot of calories, just stretching and movement will lubricate the joints and help to relieve some of the stiffness.

    If you are spending a lot of time on your PC or Mac, you may have a pinched nerve in your neck. I had a massive attack of something back a couple of years ago in the middle of a major proposal. I ended up with two weeks' off work (medical leave) and daily trips to the chiropractor.

    But since your feet hurt, I will tell you that my son (back in the day when he was little) had headaches every day for months. Took his to get his feet taped and voila, no more headaches. He still wears an orthotic.

    So there could be mechanical reasons for your aches and pains. And when I hurt, I eat.

    I think we all go through phases where we don't feel like exercising. I know I've been in one. The only thing I know to remedy this is to just jump back in and start moving again. Just get up and do it, no procrastinating. I will be taking my own advice with this! I hope your pain eases up, too. I couldn't imagine going through that like you do. XOXO
