Surgery day with a couple of "wins"

Friday, March 21, 2014

Yesterday I had my hysteroscopy, except for the doc being an hour and a half behind and having to wait forever, it wasn't too bad. Was cramping pretty good when I woke up and got some meds, but was pretty much pain free the rest of the night after it wore off. Which was good because I had my first ASL III class last night and I really didn't want to miss it. So win 1 was asl class, and win 2 was.....watermelon!!! I had to stop at the store after class (which hubby drove me to and from..love him! because of the anesthesia) and walked past watermelon then did a double take! Yay! Watermelon! I know it's not in season (and it's not very sweet) but considering my obsession last year with it, I was glad to find it coming around again. However, I guess that was just a phase because I'm just not eating and obsessing over it like i was before..lol Which is a good thing because it is basically sugar water...lol

I also got my blood work results from my testosterone. Now in 2011 before fertility drugs my levels were I think 111 (normal is 4-60 or something), DURING fertility drugs, my levels were 75 (still way high, which is why the drugs didn't help). NOW after dropping 90+ pounds and WITHOUT meds my levels were 58!!! Actually IN the normal scale! Woo hoo! I'm so pleased about that.

However, even though there's all that positive stuff, I'm still on edge because the pollup they found was sent for a biopsy and I'm still scared to death of those results and won't even have those for about a week! :( Trying to not worry about it and I think the chances of it being cancerous are low, but darn it, any chance is too big!
