How to look better naked

That is the title of my new workout video. I have been in a slump. BIG TIME slump. Weight is no longer coming off. I have been walking to Leslie Sansone religiously for the last year and then some. My weight loss has stalled. I am losing inches but not weight.

Gaining a few pounds even.

Max's pediatrician (who also was my pedi) is my Doctor's wife. Nothing like keeping it all in both family's right? Anyway, while I was at his 3 year appointment she commented on how great I looked. (I was happy!!) I told her thanks but that I hadn't lost any more weight since September. I said my Dr. is going to be thrilled but I want to lose more. She asked what I was doing. I told her about Walk Away the Pounds and what I was eating. She said I need to mix things up.

She said, "Let me tell you how to look better naked!" and I laughed and said ok! She said, "No, that is the name of the workout." LOL! Her and her hubby do it 3 times a week. Oh how that makes me laugh.

So I came home and googled it and only to discover it's Women's Health workout with Jessica Smith. Now I have done her workouts before on Spark and Youtube. I like her but she tends to complicate some of her workouts. At least for me anyway.

Today was the first workout of How to look better naked. Warm up for her overheated for me. That only last 5 minutes. So on to the workout. 30 minutes. I lasted 14. 14 hot sweaty uncoordinated minutes. I couldn't even keep up with the girl doing the easy stuff.

I have to be the most uncoordinated person on the planet! Seriously. I would be embarrassed for anyone but my son to see me do this. He of course thought it was fun.

I will attempt this workout again but no promises. I know I need something different to mix things up since my body is used to the daily walks with Leslie. Anyone have anything that works great for them??

I got a mailer today from a local gym. $10 a month, no membership fee. Come on in free for 15 days. This sounds like something I might like to try. They offer a ton of classes but there is NO WAY I could attempt that. I nearly killed my dog once. Not fun and I am not kidding. I missed her by inches.

    This made me laugh so loud!

    I can relate to the coordination thing. But it's a bitter pill for me, since I once was very coordinated... before the thighs got in the way. I bought Zumba a few months ago. I watched/tried the intro. I really must get it out again...

    You'll find your new "thing". And then you'll grow into another. You and me (and all of these here)? We're going to amaze ourselves and each other with what we find ourselves doing.

    Spring is coming!

    This is exactly why I am such a fan of Leslie too! Uncomplicated is essential for people with ZERO physical grace. Otherwise I get frustrated and give up or, worse, hurt myself.

    I had the same yearlong stall on a combo of Leslie and bike riding. But, aside from the total lack of coordination, it's hard for me to find things that don't exacerbate my chronic pain (fibromyalgia). I have dreams of rocking it with Jillian the way my soul longs to, but I often think I am being totally unrealistic!

    Anyway, maybe you just need some time to adjust to the new routine? 14 minutes is good with something new!

    Changing things up is always good, and of course I had to learn that the heard way too. A year long plateau... Anyhow, the workout sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out, thanks!

    I think changing it up is an answer. I also found that once every three weeks, I eat two days at the high end of my calorie range. It seems to jump start things again. At 183 pounds lost, I need jumpstarted once in a while. Just let your body guide you.

    My answer to looking better naked, ...Turn down the lights, light a candle and always smell good. Lol
