2014-a new year and a new start

It seems like I am always starting over on this weight loss journey. It is frustrating that I never reach my goal and am gaining weight each year. I started off 2013 great and walked the 13.1 sparkathon with my spark team buddies. I then backslid and have gained about 10 pounds in 2013. I got lazy and lost most of my self-discipline. I quit walking and going to the gym. My eating habits are terrible.
So here is my new start (again). My daughter, Melanie and I are starting the Daniel 21 day fast today. We studied the plan and grocery shopped yesterday. I had a delicious banana, strawberry, blueberry and a little spinach smoothie for breakfast this morning. I know this will be difficult, but I hope it will be a good jumpstart to cleanse our systems and improve our eating habits. Wish us luck.
