2014-a new year and a new start

It seems like I am always starting over on this weight loss journey. It is frustrating that I never reach my goal and am gaining weight each year. I started off 2013 great and walked the 13.1 sparkathon with my spark team buddies. I then backslid and have gained about 10 pounds in 2013. I got lazy and lost most of my self-discipline. I quit walking and going to the gym. My eating habits are terrible.
So here is my new start (again). My daughter, Melanie and I are starting the Daniel 21 day fast today. We studied the plan and grocery shopped yesterday. I had a delicious banana, strawberry, blueberry and a little spinach smoothie for breakfast this morning. I know this will be difficult, but I hope it will be a good jumpstart to cleanse our systems and improve our eating habits. Wish us luck.

    You'll get it, Carol. We both will. I weigh 40 pounds more than this time last year when we did the half marathon. It's humbling. It hurts. But...can't give up. Good luck on the Daniel fast. Anxious to hear how that goes!
