So I haven't been great at tracking my food but today that has gotta change. Many people at my new job are on a diet so my problem area (which has always been work) has changed and I am going to get down to business. I hate to admit this but my weight is starting to bother me. I can't sleep, I am getting out of breath going up and down the steps to do laundry, my feet hurt after work and now I am getting horrible leg cramps during work. I am going to do this because my health is on the line. I also need to just get up and exercise no ifs ands or buts about it. I was always saying my daughter uses the tv in the living room and I cant put in my dvds but you know what...........I can do it from my lap top. The only way it will work is to do it as soon as I get home from work because if not once I relax I wont get back up.........I need to fall into a routine...........I will need encouragement but I know I can do. I see so many success stories and you know what I want to be one of those...........

    Sounds like you've thought it through and identified strategies and sources of support - even new sources!! You CAN do it!!! Every decision you make to help yourself feel better will have huge ROI's (returns on investment) ... it's okay to make the "easier" decisions for improvement first to build momentum!!     You can do it. The hardest thing is the first step. But just take baby steps. Don't aim to exercise for an hour the first day. Baby steps add up!

    I totally understand where you are at. Just start with baby steps and I think for me the main thing is to track everything you eat and drink. After awhile, it becomes second nature and will be a habit for you. Then you will start to see the weight come off and you will feel better. My son packed his book bag with 40 pounds for me to walk around the house with and up and down the steps and I just couldn't believe how heavy and hard it was to do. So glad they are off of me!! I use to huff and puff up the stairs but no longer do....so HAPPY about that. You can do this!!
