Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. There is a blizzard here in Michigan and I've been shoveling snow for a couple days. By tomorrow morning there will be a suspected 7 inches of snow. Do you know that 75 minutes of shoveling burns over 500 calories??!!!
As bad as this weather is, I am finally motivated and shoveling snow (for some reason) jump started that motivation.
I "rejoined" Sparkpeople on January 2. That's no big deal. Millions of people start some sort of "getting fit" regimen at the beginning of each year. However I am 55 years old and I am not in a position to keep starting over. I can feel it in my bones every morning when I get out of bed. I am grateful to see each sunrise but oh my goodness its getting harder and harder to sit up, put my feet on the floor and start to walk each morning and this is an message to get motivated.
I am welcoming this blizzard. I am looking forward to shoveling snow. It feels good! I am motivated, determined, disciplines and dedicated!!! ~~
Each of us have our own awakening. Our own moment when motivation strikes. If this Michigan winter is what it takes for me to get motivated and jump start my quest to get in the best shape of my life...then "come on blizzard." I am ready to rock-n-roll. (can you hear the "Rocky" them song? ... I can)
