I've been on this journey for awhile. I have access to a wonderful health club and there are several classes that I do on a weekly basis such as cycling, Reformer, and a cable class. Outside of doing the cable class I have not been successful doing weight training at the Club. So, I'm back to using my Total Gym at home. I've found a new routine and I'm sure there are more out there if I look so I should be able to add variety in time.
I have several DVDs that I can use at home. The one I use the most and I know it has made a difference is my stretching. I try to make it to the Club at least 3 times a week. I have not yet established a consistent workout plan at home outside of my daily walking with my golden retriever Leo. Since the weather is now very cold in MN., I need to have an alternative.
This morning I pulled up my 29 year old Nordic Track. My husband has wanted to dispose of this for years but I have not let him. Once again I am reminded why ~ it is 9 degrees outside and I do not thrive in cold weather. All of which to say, I will be using my old faithful Nordic Track this morning. I am learning what works for me is what counts. My only disappointment is that Leo may not like it. I may have to brave the cold for short walks!
