Club or Home

Monday, November 11, 2013

I belong to my work Health Club. I like the Club for the classes since I seem to do better when working out with others. My Club has lots of equipment/weight machines and plenty of extras. My Club routine is to attend a cycle class on Wed., cable class on Friday, and I attend a Reformer class on Sat.
I try to walk my dog on a daily basis. I did not walk today since it was 20 degrees outside with snow on the ground. I know in another month this day will probably seem like a 'warm' day. I am not ready for winter.
Since I do not have success with weight training at the Club, I've gone back to using my Total Gym at home. I still have not developed a consistent routine however I tried a new one today that I found on Pinterest. I have a couple of DVD's that I can work out with too. I am stretching out by using a DVD program.
I wish I could take a poll to see how others incorporate a gym membership with working out at home. I think the main point is to work out. I am trying to add variety to my program. emoticon

Let me be the first to be part of your poll! lol! I do most of my workout at the gym, treadmill, lateral trainer, weight machines, incline board, etc., then I TRY and stretch when I get home from work in the afternoon. I say try, 'cause most of the time it's half hearted or not at all. I did take a stretching class at the gym., but it's hard to work into my work schedule. So, lately I've been doing a short stretching routine on my own at the gym right after my workout while my muscles are still warmed up. When I'm "doggy sitting" my sons dog, in addition to the above, I walk her before work and after I get home.
You're workout routine sounds like a great one to me! Lots more variety than I do!
