Here are a few pictures from our day today. Again, there are no words to explain how you feel walking thru these ruins. The reason they built this is horrible since they had gladiators and animals fight to the death, but the ruins are something to look at!
And then on to the Palentine Hill and the Roman Forum
That's all for now, need to go to bed to prepare for taking the fast train to Napoli tomorrow.
We ended our day with 12.55 miles and 59 flights of stairs. 28,468 steps total.
That is a pretty good cardio workout for one day!
I hope that once again you have enjoyed walking thru the Ancient Ruins with me!
You are luck to have the experience of visiting an important site in history. It goes to show that we have become a bit more civil nowadays. Great exercise, kudos to you and the orange color shirt does wonders! Congrats on your maintenance!!! 2707 days ago

Incredible.....you know just how to capture the essence of all of it. The Colliseum always fascinated me for the reason you stated. unimaginable things happened there....and yet they still stand. As a reminder? That garden in the second set of pictures looks so peaceful...good place to meditate and be thankful. Keep enjoying your days. Until next time. 2714 days ago
