Well...... a size 12 back in her time was a lot smaller than a size 12 today. I remember back when JC Penney changed their sizes... I remember the catalog announcement that "if you wore a 16, you will now order a 14"
I'm 5'7 and I wore a size 12 jeans when I was weighing 175 lbs about 5 or so years ago.... ... ... I just looked on the JCPenney site, at a pair of Levi 505 straight leg jeans size chart. A size 4 is for a waist 26-27 hips 36-37. So her hips would probably be more of a size 4-6 and her waist is just really tiny, a size 4 was the smallest on that chart. In the junior size chart for Arizona 5 pocket straight leg jeans her waist would fit a size 1 and her hips a size 7 or 9.
Walmart brands were about the same.
Still... regardless of her probably being a size 4 to 6 by today's standards... a size 12 still looks great! I am currently a size 16 and would LOVE to be a size 12. :) 2571 days ago
