The kale chips didn't make it

Wednesday, October 30, 2013

My daughter came home and ate most of them...lol. I had to make another batch.

Going to share my recipe
Kale leaves, stems removed, break into large pieces
Lay flat on cookie tray. Drizzle a little bit of extra virgin olive oil on them....you don't need much. Sprinkle with garlic powder, some crushed red pepper flakes and some Parmesan cheese.
Bake in pre heated 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

Enjoy!

I am sooooooooooooooo glad that I came across this blog!! I have been wanting to make some and just haven't gotten a chance. I was visiting an inactive team and the title flashed on the team feed and I just had to check it out!

Thank you! I will be making these!

I've never had kale leaves and this sounds easy enough to start with.
How do kale leaves come and how many would you say is a bunch?
When you buy them, are they wet?
Do they need to be dry to bake them.
Do you use something like Kraft Parmessan cheese or Fresh Parmessan cheese?
    They sound awesome.
I hope you'll help me with my questions. I don't experiment a lot with food.

Sounds Yummy! I just did mine with some seasoned salt and my 12 year old loves them! I'll have to try this version. I usually toss up the kale in a bowl to try to coat it with the oil - how do you drizzle without putting too much?

Make sure the kale is completely dry after you wash it and using just a drizzle of oil helps them to crisp up nicely

I tried them once and they didn't get crispy. Think I'll try your recipe. Thanks for sharing
