If you always do what interests you at least one person is pleased.

Read that somewhere and it stuck with me. Lately I've been doing what interests me and I am pleased! I'm eating pretty good but haven't been able to exercise much. Fell about 2 weeks ago, nothing broken, but sore muscles and a big bump on my knee. I did go dancing last night and my muscles are a bit sore. I'm going on a dance weekend next weekend and I really need to get in shape for it.

I've been writing a lot in my journals instead of blogging on here. I like the change but I do miss connecting with my fellow Sparkers. I haven't stepped on the scale but yesterday my pants felt a little looser. I've decided not to weigh as often because then I become obsessed with the number on the scale.

Last week I bought myself a new, cordless drill and some drill bits. Exciting...lol but I had some projects to do around the house and it came in handy. Think I'm ready for winter now but still hope it's a milder one.

Made a big pot of vegetable soup today and it smells yummy! I like to take some for lunch when the weather is colder. Soup and 1/2 a sammie! I'm trying to prepare healthy snacks on the weekend so I can just grab them in the morning and head to work. I'm going to make some kale chips tonight. When the weather gets colder I start cooking more. My daughter says I'm "nesting." Maybe so but she enjoys the healthy snacks I make too! I remembered a recipe my mom used to make - and I made some over the weekend. Let me share. Peel and dice up some apples, mix in a jar of banana baby food, some walnuts or almonds and a little bit of celery. Makes a nice midday snack. Satisfies the sweet tooth for me which usually hits around 3 p.m. I like to have a light snack at that time so when I get home I'm not starving waiting for dinner to cook which can be troublesome for me. My veggie soup is good if that happens. I can have a small cup while waiting for dinner and get in some more vegetables for the day.

Time for dinner then hoping to get a little exercise in. Feeling a bit tired tonight so I may use the 15 minute rule a fellow Sparker wrote about..... exercise for 15 minutes then decide if I want to continue or stop. I usually continue rather then stop. But it's nice to have the option!

Keep Sparkin' it works!
