What extender?

Wednesday, October 30, 2013

Today, I put my old friend, the seatbelt extender, in the trunk of the car. I unplugged it a couple weeks ago, but, kept it in the glove compartment "just in case." It's been my friend, and helper, for over 10 years, now, and it feels strange not having it. Not having that extra wiggle-room. But, at the same time, it feels great that I do not need it! I can snap the seatbelt into place, and still have lots of room to move about!

I'm looking around the house, and car, and elsewhere, to find other crutches. Other "safe" friends that need to go so that I can be the strong, secure, woman I want to be.

That's a milestone! I know I used to be panicky about getting in the backseats of other people's cars because the seatbelts are usually smaller. I also worried when when wearing a bulky winter coat. NO MORE!!
I'm so happy for you! emoticon emoticon
