Sorry I disappeared for a while. I had a major recognition event with five honorees and the President, plus my entire reporting structure in between as well as our new provost bplus about 175 employees. No pressure! Plus we are short handed since my boss retired and they moved one of our staff to the Benefits area. It's just me, my assistant and an occasional intern running the show from designing the program with writeups and photos of honorees. I plan the menu and buy the flowers and we all worked on the slides and setup. My assistant arranges the flowers. I bring in and pack up lots of extra decor- some from home. That event was for National Boss Day. My next huge event comes in February but I do a monthly outstanding employee award. Each of my best bosses gets a separate departmental reception, followed by a large event with their cohorts and our executives. I used a new location for this reception which creates a ton of extra logistical work and planning. It's a fun and exciting high profile job but exhausting! Plus I'm wearing heels during the event and reception and for my monthly receptions, which require a lot of walking through the hospital. Enough shop talk! But that's why I've been out of pocket.
Yes, I did take a few pics of Mango. A couple of him when we first moved in and I used a dog crate and other materials to make him a large pen connected to that. This gave him an idea of his new territory and where his litterbox would be located. Once you show him his space this way he never strays out of that area. In the old house I could leave the gate to the upstairs TV room, aka, the Bunny Room open and he never ventured out of that room. He is excellent with his litterbox, too! That's really a good quality in a bunny. Lately since he's been free range he's been investigating the couch. His area consists of the kitchen and family room which is just one big area. There is no barrier to the front door or adjacent dining room but he has never explored and probably never will. He's content to meatloaf under the kitchen table, lounge by the coffee table in front of the couch, get comfy on his pillow under an end table and his new favorite.... taking a nap in his pillow fort! He loves to go underneath and behind the loose pillows that make up the back of my couch. Besides napping, he loves to lick the bottom cushions. He did this in his old room too. However, this couch is lighter in color so he was leaving a large saliva stain. I though someone had spilled something but I realized it was Mr. Mango's work pretty fast. Sooo, I covered that cushion with a sheet and he's OK with it. We usually have a soft blankie on the couch and he LOVES to get underneath blankies and play. It's hilarious to see the blankie bobbing up and down as he plays with it. It's loads of fun for him. So, you see, Mr. Mango is the master of the house. We must look carefully before plopping on "his" couch. And... if you want to eat chips on that couch, he will come running for his share. Yes, he loves salty snacks. Not so much a fan of cookies like my Princess Pewter was.
