Although have been AWOL from SP I HAVE still been working some on my journey with only little progress. One of the things I have added to my journey is using the FitBit Zip. This device tracks all my steps through the day (I wear it clicked on my bra strap) and it tells me, not only how maany steps, but also how many miles. I have found it to be a good motivator, to get me moving a little more, but I have even slacked a little with that too.
I'm looking forward to TBL beginning again and will enjoy a bit of an extra push in the back side from watching these guys fight to regain their lives.
As to my travel, I last mentioned that we went to Italy, which we LOVED! We spent 4 weeks in Milan with some side-trips on the weekend to Venice (I LOVED!), and various other small towns and villages each weekend. We saw LOTS of beautiful cathedrals, and castles/Palaces, wine vineyards & oh, so much history! We ended that trip with a few extra days, going to Rome! OH MY! What a magnificent city! We did not get nearly enough time to see such a place of ancient history!
Other locations within the US included Boulder, CO (where we went whitewater rafting again, which is SO much fun--however, we think that is where Jon injured his Piriformis (a muscle in the buttocks--more about that in the next blog...), Atlanta, Georgia, and currently we are in the Chicago area in a small town called Schaumburg, IL
Last month we had another overseas trip, and that was ti Buenos Aires, Argentina. With Jon's injuries and then he ended up with a flu bug, we didn't get to do as much sight-seeing as we had hoped, but we DID get to go to a Tango Show--quite fun! Although I'm not yet free to share where our next location is, I will tell you it WILL be another one out of the country--looking forward to that one.
OK, time to get back to work on this journey. UGH!
