105 - I'm back!!!

Vacation is officially over. I must add, there's no place like home!

The first day of vacation was pretty much a program disaster! Very few steps on the fitbit, lots of snacks and junk food in the car ---AND pizza in our hotel room for dinner.

Day two was a little better, somewhat ok breakfast, little more walking and fish and baked potato for dinner --- snacks in car for lunch, but at least had almonds and peanut butter/crackers instead of twizzlers and pretzel rods.

When we arrived in Philly found that we were about 4 blocks from the Delaware riverfront. Great walkway for morning walks, also walked on the Ben Franklin Bridge. The convention center was 1 mile from our condo - so got about 4 miles in every day just in our comings and goings to the convention center! Lots of steps on the fitbit!!! Food - well, of course had to try those Philly Cheesesteaks and eat in Chinatown, but for the most part we didn't eat all that bad. Found this excellent market with organic produce and fruits, fresh meats and fish--- so it was actually pretty good!

On the way home, there was the stop in Hershey. Yikes!

So, where am I at? I weighed myself on the 24th of August right before we left- and was at 190.4. After vacation - was at 190.8. Not too bad for all that riding and junk food on the way there and home. I think all that walking in the heat helped!

So August was pretty much a wash and I did not meet my 5 lb weight loss goal. That really disappointed me as I had stepped up my exercise - but I did have several eating challenges and I didn't do the best with them.

September? Hoping to get that 5 lb weight loss this month and shooting for 10,000 steps 6 days a week on the fitbit and no less than 5,000 on my off day.

You can feel fall in the air here in Michigan - it is just around the corner. So, there will be lots of cleaning of the gardens and yard, and other projects. Only one September birthday - so not a ton of celebrations. One baseball outing in Chicago next week which will be an eating challenge but I am trying my best to make a plan.

Good to be back and back in my groove, even if I am feeling a bit disoriented! Hitting the trail for lunch! Keep sparking everyone!!!
