It was TORTURE THE DOGS time here recently.
It is a three day long process which none of them really appreciate.

Day 1 involves everyone getting their feet and nails trimmed.

Day 2 is all about making sure they are brushed thoroughly, with no 'matts' left behind (knots/tangles)

Day 3 is down to the nitty gritty ..... water, shampoo, conditioner and the BATH TUB..... Once each dog is done with that process they are up on the grooming table, thoroughly dried either with a hair dryer or..... our leaf blower.

These are all the "after" pictures that we did, just for fun - they were all clean , dry, and freshly groomed by this point.

Here are a couple of the out takes --- glowing, 'demonic' eyes and all emoticon emoticon emoticon

This is "finished" collage with captions added, of the outtakes that my DD Meaganne put together.

And, this is the final, finished product.

This is all just to show you that we often have to take a whole lot more pictures than you ever get to see, before we get that one ' perfect' photo.

By the way, while no animal was injured in the taking of these pictures, the whole process did involve a few bad words from the photographer involved when beastie cooperation was not happening.... and there were many doggy treats consumed throughout in order to make cooperating more the thing to do.

Sorry that the print size on the captions is so small, but I don't know how to change that, but Meaganne tells me that if you click anywhere by the pictures, then hold control and the plus sign at the same time it will enlarge the whole thing for you.

How adorable! Oreo is pretty good about her bath time. I say "get in the tub" and she climbs in, not happily though and yes, by the time it's over, a few bad words have been used by me and probably by her too, LOL emoticon emoticon

Those dogs and your daughter crack me up. Knowing the silliness of our three, I can just imagine what bathtime is like in your house, and I bet she has about a thousand bad pictures for every good one.

Tell Meags I said hello, and tell her to stop by and say hi and let me know how she's doing! emoticon

"Oh Your Aching Backs" Great photos, loved the captions. This is why I prefer the Doberman. Wash & Wear, rub down with a piece of velvet once a week. emoticon emoticon

My little Betty Ann fully understands how your dogs feel. She's not a big fan of the b-a-t-h ritual either.
