Finished swimming 25 miles!

This is the 7th year I've done the 25 mile swim challenge a my pool. They have a few rules: All laps have to be swum in that pool. No assisting devices- flippers, kick boards, etc., can be used. If you do swim team, practice laps don't count. I have to start out easy because, believe me, my triceps PAY at the beginning! But eventually I work into a routine of 40 laps per swim, and the miles fly by. I'm not a fast swimmer, but I can do the whole 40 laps in about 50 minutes. I swam over 10 miles in July alone. It's such a great feeling of accomplishment. I haven't lost weight doing it, but that wasn't my goal. My goal was simple- to swim and enjoy it. What do I get for my effort? I can choose between a 10-punch guest pass for next yer or a $25 snack bar card. I go for the snacks every time, and sometimes I treat myself o a beer and a pretzel or a grilled chicken dinner.
