Tractors and Fire!

Well, here it is! pretty nice eh?
Hopefully I can get a picture for to-morrow , with ""ME"" on it---
Our "new to me" tractor-----from Michigan---LOL
The reason I never got on the thing last evening, was because of rain-----almost all day-Even up to 9pm!

I was getting ready for bed, and I heard fire crackers---(Coal, the resident German-as in dog) was velcro-ed to me (CrazyDog's expression)----anyway--he was trying to get under the bed-AGAIN---We heard shouting--more explosions----which I really thought were firecrackers)--People were shouting---lotza noise--like machines---cars---and then the smell------like an old smoky fire---
Well, it turned out, a neighbours boat house exploded---burnt to the ground---

There used to be a large boat house right on the point there!

And of course, I could not sleep after that------too much excitement!
We haven't heard if anyone was hurt----I sure hope not!
So, in all the excitement ,the tractor took 2nd fiddle to the boat-house fire!
And the ol' weight is UP----Lord Love a Duck!---
Another day to work it off!

    Lots of excitement! I hope no one was hurt in the fire. Still must be so disappointing for your neighbours. We have a campground right close to us that regularly sets off fireworks and two cops - one city, one OPP - live down the road from us and one of them does sometimes fire off a round. My puppy is so used to the noises, it doesn't bother him. If there ever was a true emergency, we probably would never know. LOL!

    OH no! Poor Coal! Between the thunderstorm and then that . . . sheesh! I imagine he's going to become a permanently Velcro-ed fixture if it continues! LOL

    NOT so lol . . . good thing that nobody was hurt in that explosion. How scary!!!

    Glad the rain finally stopped. We did have rain the night before last but nothing last night, so that's good. You know. . . . MR. SPOT is a Velcro baby too when it storms! LOL There ya have it . . . ANOTHER Velcro term to apply to our fur babies.

    Seems like there's never a dull moment "in the bush," Lynda. With you, I hope nobody was injured in that fire - my goodness.

    My weight seems to be bouncing lately, too. But every day we can commit to doing the best we can. Helps to know I'm not alone.

    Totally identified when you described your German being velcroed to your side - mine does the same thing. I thought they were supposed to protect US! :)

    And your new tractor, well, what can I say except WOW!!! Have fun with it, my friend.

    I LOVE your new tractor! I am a tractor lover and that is a beauty!

    SO sorry about all the commotion (especially for Coal) of the boathouse. How awful for your neighbor. I hate when my sleep is interrupted for such things...it is never the same until after I get a good night's sleep the next night.

    Here's to you having a nice relaxing day today to make up for last night...but just one thing....be sure to get that picture of you on the tractor! emoticon
