These are the pictures from the Saint Paul Color Run on Sunday (07/14/13). It took my best friend Amy and I just under 30 minutes to finish the 5k! I haven't posted many pics on this account so I figured I'd post these for a reference point as I slowly trudge forward and continue to strive for some progress. :)
This was honestly the most supportive event I've ever been to. The first place finisher ran back to give everyone high fives and at a check point an elderly woman (with more energy than I, might I add) threw her arms open for a hug when she saw me coming. Volunteers would drive by on golf carts screaming encouragement and spraying water. Whenever I contemplated quitting Amy could feel it and started to dance, so I responded in kind. We more or less crossed the finish line doing the robot. There was a lot of applause from complete strangers. These little things essentially kept me going.
Oh wow this looks awesome, I just learned about these runs a few weeks ago, and have set it as a goal to do one...next summer, hopefully! Congratulations! This is such an inspiration, you should be so proud of all that you have accomplished! 2842 days ago
