If you bite it-Write it!

Sunday, June 23, 2013

Yesterday I journaled--like I'm supposed to be doing-
I was almost at 900 calories after lunch----
They add up so fast!-
Already to-day, breakfast will be fewer calories----
So-----"'IF YOU BITE IT_WRITE IT!"------
Surprising what one eats without actually facing up to the caloric amount!
It's Sunday--
emoticon
JOURNAL-----MOVE MORE_----and Smile at some old-er person to-day----
Sparkly People are doin' it! emoticon

That is the only way I can accurately keep track of my caloric intake....everything I eat goes on the page even if it is hard to swallow.....no pun intended!

Writing it all down puts our food intake in perspective and is a great tool in weight loss. Years ago at WW they said the same thing..."If you bite it, write it" -and that includes all of those BLT's (bites, licks, tastes) that really add up. I found that when I didn't write it all down the only one I was fooling was myself! Happy journaling! emoticon

Journaling your food intake is the #1 long term weight loss success strategy. You have to be accountable to yourself. Its why I love my tracker like a a junkie.

Yes, it's always an unpleasant surprise if I wait till the end of the day to log...so I'm with you, my friend...bite it, write it!

    Have a good day today.

Keeps us thinking, it does! Writing it dowm means I can't forget that I had that handful of 10 m&M's, or that sugar cookie... writing it down means I can see that while I did go a bit over range it was with an extra banana instead of those sugary things.

Writing it down leads to better choices! Good job! emoticon from one old-er person to another.

Good job journaling! It makes things "real", keeps us honest! Hope you're having a good Sunday. At least this morning isn't starting with storms -- we have hazy sunshine. Woot!

    HUGs and smiles.
