I'm not sure if it is eating healthier foods or all the walking - but I noticed I have more energy. I am not content to just sit at night - I tWANT to be moving! When I got to work this morning, I actually sort of ran up the stairs ---- what?
Usually stairs are an issue for me with my knee. I normally hold the hand rail and I actually remember pulling myself up the stairs. I still held the hand rail - which is a habit - but jogged up them and wasn't even out of breath at the top!!!
I remember when I started walking, I was doing a few tenths of a mile and turning around to head back to the car with muscle cramps and aching knees. Now I'm doing a couple miles with no cramps - still aching knees - but it's a manageable ache! I'd gladly trade the knee ache for the increased energy and overall feeling good that I have gotten as a result!
While I haven't graduated to doing exercise videos yet, I'm thinking that next week I may try one to challenge myself. So, if you know any that don't require to much getting on the floor or things that are stressful to the knees, let me know. Maybe I'll start out with the videos on SP. Any recommendations?
Three more days (after today) til weigh in on the 24th. I am actually excited to see what Mr Scale says. And if he flashes a crappy number, I will kick him - but I won't care cuz "I FEEEEEEEEEEL Good!"
