Level 20 Success!!

Monday, June 10, 2013

Wow, I've reached level 20 and I'm a bit surprised as I feel like I've got so much more to do. Kinda' shows me that this isn't a quick fix (I don't believe there are any) and it's a life-style, on-going process. I may sound a bit dumb, but after reaching the top level, it's just hit me that there is more and it doesn't end.

I've always noticed a few of the top level achievers also being at the top, month after month, on the points board? Anybody ever ask themselves how they do that? I really tried and I can't get close to the 1,000's of points they accumulate monthly! Really, it baffles me. I like the point process as it gives me incentive, as I hope it does for all of you. I also like it as it's a bit competitive and I think that's healthy. But I also feel like a select few have found a way to "play" the system and are continuously, month after month, getting a bunch of points they really didn't earn. Just my thoughts, just my feelings.

I feel good in that my journey with the deep help of Spark and Spark Coaches (I love Coach Nicole, she keeps me on track and focused). Has been steady and, I feel successful. I'm 36 pounds down from my start, my health is improved, and I feel great. Plus, I love the interaction w/ Sparkers. Too bad about a few bad apples, but, in truth, that's really part of life, too, isn't it?

Have a great Spark day!!

I agree with you on the points. I do not think it is right to be able to buy points by buying the Spark Book or by subscribing to Spark Coach. Some people put all of their food and exercise for the month in on day 1 so they accumulate a bunch of points really fast but they stagnate. I just plod along with my 125-140 points per day and watch my position rise from around 760 on the first to 75-100 at the end of the month, knowing that for a mere pittance, I could have 750 additional points. Oh well it is what it is. There are always people who feel it is necessary to game the system
