The olfactory is working!

Thursday, June 06, 2013

I'm finding I'm not terribly hungry...unless I forget to eat on time. But, when I am around food, the smell is what drives me nuts! Yesterday, we went to the Farmers Market. A fella was grilling buffalo burgers. That was ok, but, the smell of the sauteed onions! Made me drool, even though I'd just eaten not 15 minutes before! Another was offering salads. I really, really, had to resist getting one! I don't know why the smell of lettuce was driving me nuts, but, all I could think about for the rest of the afternoon was going to the store and grabbing a couple heads of red leaf, romaine, spinach, etc., and making me a huge salad!

Brings me to a question I've got. How long after your surgery did you wait before eating lettuce, strawberries (any berry!), and raw veggies?

I'm down about 40 pounds since April 2 (my surgery date). Today, I crossed my legs! Not just the ankle at the knee, but, like a Lady! I can't remember the last time I did that! I can get in and out of my car without hitting my head. I can pass my hubby in the hall without having to scrunch up tight to the wall, sideways!

I know, this is sorta disjointed. I'm really tired tonight. Didn't do much of anything today. Was raining all day, and my sinuses were letting me know it!

Thanks for making it through the muddle to the end!

My sleeve surgery was 3/20 -- I haven't done too much lettuce yet, a few bites here and there but not much and I tried some strawberries just this last week, but I could only eat a couple, my stomach didn't like that as much, so I am still staying away from too much fruit and really not eating a lot of veggies yet either....

Can you get your lettuce and blitz it up with a chicken breast or mozzarella cheese? That surely won't upset your pouch?
    40lb!!!! Wow, well done!
Enjoy the leg crossing- next stop, STILLETOS

All programs are different - I think I was at least 6 weeks out before I started with softer veggies like spinach.

I am so proud of you! Excellent job my dear Spark Friend!!

    Way to go!!
