How often do you pack lunch? If you're like a lot of SparkPeople members, you probably do it pretty often. But if you're like many other time-crunched people, it's probably an afterthought--something you hurriedly put together in the midst of the morning rush without much attention. And when you're busy or sleep in? Forget about it! That lunch becomes a trip to the closest fast food joint.
Your challenge is to prevent the morning rush and lunchtime afterthought by planning tomorrow's lunch today. Think about what you have at home during the day, and what you can quickly buy from the grocery on your way home tonight. Make a plan to keep it balanced with filling protein and fiber, healthy fats and plenty of veggies or fruit. Tonight, portion our your lunch and have it ready before you go to bed. Your morning will be less rushed. You'll stay on track all day with your diet--and this might just be one technique you keep in your back pocket in the future.
