The scale didn't move?

Monday, May 27, 2013

I was very surprised this morning when I weighed myself. I did lose one inch around my hips but.... no weight? After how active I was all week and weekend? And I tracked my food and stayed within all my ranges. I know this can happen, and the next week I could have a big loss so I'm going to continue what I'm doing and really take a look at how much sodium I may be taking in. I am drinking a lot of water will all the activity I'm doing so I could be retaining water.

I haven't tracked my food today yet. I'm actually too lazy to do it now...I'm tired. I just spent a little over 2 hours mowing the lawn and the grass was high from all the rain we had so I had to go over some spots a few times.

My lawn....

now the other side...

the part on the side of the house...

and there's more in the front plus a lot of hedges - which I need to trim again, and 2 apple trees that need trimming as well but that's for another day. I'm tired and sore after pushing that mower! But it's exercise and I got plenty of fresh air and sunshine today.

Time to finish laundry then make dinner and relax a bit. But first I want to put the 2 tomato plants I bought into pots. I can't have a garden because the groundhog thinks I plant everything for him!! Maybe next year I'll relocate him and his little friends so I can have my veggie garden again. This year I'll be battling the squirrels for the apples on my tree. They pick them when they are still green and then sit on my roof and eat them! I buy peanuts in the shells when I see them on sale and throw them out for the squirrels which seems to help keep them out of my trees...lol.

Have a great week everyone and keep sparking!!!!

Good that you are measuring and seeing progress there, sometimes it just takes longer to see it on the scale. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will see progress!

Beautiful yard!! Don't get discouraged - it's like our bodies hang on to the weight when we restart our programs... it will come off again. Same is happening for me - slow going but I feel good about my workouts!
