DH is working week-ends, and he has odd hours, so while he took a nap, Sarge and I went back to Leona Valley. I wanted to go check on the cow with the interesting ears. TXGRANDMA, and JAMER123 both thought the cow was a Brahma. I am glad to say, it is indeed. It might be a mix breed, but it is cute.
I drove by a house that had the prettiest Hollyhocks.
The horses were in the lower field grazing again. Woo Hoo!!
And there is a pasture on the other side of the driveway. 4 horses on this side, but only one horse would cooperate.
The sky was pretty. This pic was taken right by the pasture.
And this pic was taken by the famous Hawk tree.
Speaking of the famous Hawk tree (in the middle)
Sarge was in a serious mood, but enjoyed the car ride.
I was pulling into our driveway when I noticed Quail in the front yard.
I have more pictures. I will do another blog later today. Stay safe!!
I love the hollyhocks. WE used to have them on the farm. Might have to think about planting them here! The picture of the cow yesterday was not a definitive as these are today. Glad we could be of help. 2386 days ago
That cow is darling, I can almost hear the mooing from here. Horses are beautiful, you are lucky to live in such an area. I can't believe Sarge could ever be serious, but he is always precious no matter what his mood for the day. 2387 days ago
Beautiful, needless to say. I love the cow's ears and the beautiful skies. In the Spring, where I used to live, we had quail nearby even though it was close to downtown Fort Lauderdale. The area wasn't the nicest so when I took walks in the morning, I loved to see the quails eating and the mourning doves nearby. Your blogs remind me that even in the darkest hours for me, there was beauty around.
