It all started off with a fire at the office! We were told to evacuate by the fire department. Everything was quickly under control - just a smoldering piece of equipment in our hvac system. No one was hurt, everything was back to normal in a few hours - but sure led to some excitement at work...
Went home, checked my fitbit, decided to squeeze in a 15 minute mile on the treadmill before we headed down to the Joe for some hockey. Gathered up my son, who was sooooo excited to be going, and we hit the road.
I love going to hockey games at the Joe. It's not a huge venue. You can't help but feel the history as you look up and see years and years of banners hanging from the rafters. Yep - this is hockeytown! and hockeytown has some amazing hockey fans.....
On our way in, Jack stumbled upon this lifesize bobblehead.....
Time for the start of the game - where else but hockeytown would they drop a huge inflatible octopus?
Jimmy Howard, who played minor league hockey here in my hometown, was THE MAN in the goal! Wings win 2-0!!!
A quick check of the fitbit once I got in the car had me over 10,000 steps yesterday! Yippee!
Today I had a meeting with Mr Scale. I was a little apprehensive as I hadn't seen him in a while. But then I remembered, I really didn't care what he said - I could see from my tracking on my fitbit that I worked hard. I know I ate within my calorie range at least 80% of the time. Imagine that, down another 5 lbs for the month of May. Yippee!!! 5 lbs closer to my goal weight. Now to tackle the next 5 for the month of June. I am on to something here. I can do this!!!!!
I want each of my sparkfriends to know that I couldn't do it without you. Even though we haven't sat down face to face, we have chatted soul to soul - and I appreciate all the encouragement, honesty, ideas and inspiration you have given me. You rock!!!
Onward to see what is around the next corner on this journey!
