I am happy to report day 2- I went to Curves, short yoga session, a 10 minute walk (and that was it--too cold for me to be outside) so I finished with 35 minutes on the elliptical and over 12,000 steps today.
I guess the reality is that we all have had more than one day 1 and it is important to not give up on our-self. This was a tough day for me because I had to commute to the city for a health screening for work--so getting up early and that bus commute just wears me out so I needed a short nap to get me through the rest of the day.
The weather got very cool and it made the outdoor walk difficult as it brought out my cough and made it difficult to breathe--so I just decided to come home and do the elliptical to get my steps in. I tried to do as much walking as possible while I was in town in the building so I could have a good count on the pedometer and I am happy to have a good number on the pedometer.

I'm so glad there are others like me who have a bunch of 1st days. Today is May 24th. Have you had a chance to do your 30 minute walk? Does the walking help your voice or is it too early to tell? I'll bet your puppy loves to go walking with you. I have a 5 monh old puppy that is helping me to walk too! His name is Gus. Don't give up! You can do this. Start with baby steps. You can do it! This is my first day again as well. I just did the 12 min low impact cardio and I am dripping sweat, but it's good sweat! Hang in there, be determined to make this one stick, and know that recovery comes one day at a time. You can do it! 2393 days ago
Hope your health improves. Exercise will only help the situation. A cute sweet dog to walk with you. Even just throwing him balls is good exercise for some muscle groups. It also gets you out in fresh air and nature which always makes me feel better in spirit.
