But first I played with Huck and Megs.
Alice and Sarge just watched.
Some of the Long Horns and Cows were resting by their favorite tree.
Hershey spotted me
This one just woke up from a nap. She had a nice long stretch.
I spotted a cow further down, right by the fence. What pretty eyes.
I had to laugh when I took this picture. One Cow looked like it was whispering in the other Cow's ear, when I noticed a Brown Headed Cowbird on the back of the female Cow. How appropriate.
I looked to the right, and the Cow that was stretching, walked over to where I was. It was so curious. Cute as can be too.
Then she walked off and joined the others that were near by.
I was walking back to the car when I noticed clouds off in the distance.
I looked up, and thanks heavens I did, because a young Red Tail Hawk was flying in circles.
It was time to head back home. On the way, I stopped by the famous Hawk tree, and no Hawk. However, I spotted a bird I have never seen before. At first I was baffled. It looked like a yellow Mockingbird.
When I got home I looked in "All about birds" website. I discovered the bird was a female Bullocks Oriole. I have been photographing the male Oriole, but this is the first time I saw the female. She is a beauty.
I was almost home when I decided to let Alice and Sarge walk in the open desert for a bit. Before I got out of the car I noticed a Roadrunner. He noticed me too.
Have a super Mother's Day for those of you celebrating!!
