Stepping up my game plan

A week ago I took my measurements. During the week I did a little to reach my goals- apparently very little as the scale didn't move nor did the tape measure.
Yesterday I made some visuals to remind me of where I want to be. I'm starting with an 8 week program. I made a calendar with plenty of room to fill in all of my activities which I will record with different colored markers. I want to see every day full of colors - painting my rainbow!
I tracked the food I planned to eat today and left some calories in case of unanticipated hunger during the day, or an evening snack if I have calories left.
This morning I w0ke up late. I was going to rush to get to work and change my meal plan for the day. Instead I called in sick. No guilt...I need a good solid day to get my game going and I didn't want to feel too tired later and put it off for another day. Today IS the day!
So far I had my healthy breakfast which I prepared and ate leisurely, did my upper body strength training and 30 minutes of cardio.. all before noon! I plan to make my healthy lunch and relax while I enjoy it, then do some chores around the house and some yard work followed by my afternoon snack, a healthy dinner and then a zumba class tonight.
I'm putting myself on a strict plan for the next few weeks. Will push myself to get the maximum out of the time and a good jump start on my program.
I also bought myself a plane ticket for a much needed vacation. In less than 5 weeks I'll be visiting my friend in Florida for 12 days.
I'm taking care of me, body, mind and spirit. This is what I need, this is what I'm doing and it sure feels good!
