measurements, starting over, food addiction

I should probably update my blog since it's been a little while...

In week 3 of Jamie Eason's program I sprained my thumb, so I took a break from lifting weights and I started walking/running again. My thumb feels like it's 100% back to normal now so I'm going to start Jamie's program over again from the beginning today. This time though, I'm going to keep walking/running as well as lifting weights. Her program says you shouldn't do cardio in this first month because you're focusing on building muscle, but I'm saying screw that and I'm doing my cardio since that helped me lose weight really well before.

I also took my measurements today for May...... I'm not happy, even in the slightest. I gained on each of my measurements... I've been eating like total crap lately and I know that's what's causing me to gain weight so fast. Well, it's fast to me anyway. I really need to focus on myself again and not let anyone or anything around me influence me to make bad decisions. I also really need to be crazy about my calorie counting again. That's where I've been slacking, mainly when dinner rolls around. And at work when they order delicious food for lunch, sometimes it's hard to resist because not only does it look good, but it's free food! Can't beat that hehe but I really need to learn to say no. That's kind of funny too... I'm talking about food like it's a deadly drug. It can be, or it can be fuel for your body, which is what I have to remind myself of. I'm always thinking about food, but I need to shift my thinking to food is just fuel for my body, not an activity to do.

Well in a little bit here I'm going to hit the gym and then go for a walk/run.

Oh, and May the Fourth be with you! :3

You're not the only one. I gained 2 pounds in the last month. I haven't gained or lost in the last 8 months. Sounds like you're still, or more, motivated now.
