So, new week, new beginning.....

Got on the scale this morning. Was OK with the number, but now really want to move .8 more. I am really wierd about that stuff, At 210.6 - and would really like to get out of the 10's before that first day of May.

I am one of those obsessed with the scale people, if you haven't figured that out. I hate it. I know it is only a number and there are so many other ways to measure success, but I am hung up on the number thing.

After I get to the 209's then it will be move one more to get an even 10 off from my April start date. then it will be move 3 more to get into the 5's..... as sick as it is, it keeps me going and breaks it down into small obtainable numbers.

It is too early to see any changes in my body. None of my clothes fit better, or are falling off. I do feel better, but still find myself having "tired" days, I guess that is just life!

Silly me, this morning grabbed some socks to bring to work so I could go for a walk during lunch hour, only to discover my walking shoes were not here! They are home by my back door! So guess the walk will wait til tonight.

Well, staying on track, hoping this month will go out with a bang!!! Wednesday I will post my goals for May. :-)

    I used to keep an extra pair of socks and sneakers at work so that I could take walks outside during breaks or lunch. Maybe if you have an old pair that still has some mileage left on them, you could keep them in your car for emergencies.

    It's great that you have set small weight loss increments as goals. Each time you reach one it's a small celebration and even if it's a small loss all of those add up and it's a move in a positive direction. Definitely don't let the scale get you down. I am still pretty obsessed with it myself but I try to ignore small fluctuations whether they be up or down because they change so frequently. In the beginning nothing seemed to be any different.That can be extremely discouraging especially if the scale is not budging, but then things seem to happen suddenly. You will have more energy, your clothes will be loser and yes, the scale will move!! You will notice that you have a spring in your step, your head is clearer and that you have a more positive attitude. Don't give up. Hang in there and I promise it will happen!! emoticon emoticon

    Thank for your encouragement on my blog. I am so scale obsessed. I try to use it to my advantage. Every time I think about eating something unhealthy I think about it reflecting on the scale, and it totally loses it's power over me....the food not the scale lol it totally owns me.

    For the longest time I would get so frustrated because the scale wasn't moving, and I swear my clothes were actually getting tighter not looser, but I kept pushing forward, and now it kind of seems like instead of me pushing I am kind of getting swept up, and taken along. That is exhilarating. I still show up everyday, and eat healthy, but it is so much easier. emoticon Keep it up.
