C25k - week 7

Wow, I can't believe the achievement.

I am fully past the intervals stage of the program, and now it is about increasing time and distance (and speed I suppose too) as I prepare to actually run a 5k.

Today is a beautiful day. The sun is shining, clear blue skies, a little breeze, and 65 degrees. A perfect day to revel in the Earth for Earth day, and run and enjoy the sun, air, and soil.

My run was lovely, I didn't feel overly put out by it, but I moved along nicely in tune with mother earth. I didn't have breathing issues either. 25 minutes of running (plus warm up/cool down).

2.86 miles
4.8 avg mph
5341 fitbit steps

I see that I moved along a tiny bit faster than last week 25 minute run. It also felt a bit better too.

    Week 7, Day 3

    What a difference the sunshine makes! It was a much nicer day today, sunny and 58 degrees.

    The run felt pretty good, and I am getting excited for increasing next week, and then running the 5k next weekend (8 days from today!)

    I forgot my fanny pack today, so I tucked the GPS and the MP3 player into my running pants emoticon . It worked OK, but I worry about the MP3 player getting too wet with sweat. Although it was nice not having that pack bouncing on me. The other issue was that my inhaler was in the fanny pack, I didn't have it, so that was a risk, but it was fine.

    Week 7, Day 2

    It was rainy all morning, I didn't think I would get to run outside. But by the time I was about ready (4pm) it had stopped raining, although it was a bit chilly and windy. Hey, but I've done that before, so I ran outside today again. I wasn't really feeling motivated, but I went through the motions (literally).

    Congrats - I remember how great it felt pushing past the interval stage of C25k. I loved the program, it really helped get me ready to go. Congrats on your achievement!
