He's at it again!

Monday, April 15, 2013

I don't usually blog this much but I don't belong to any Teams at present. Hopefully I can find one that will meet my needs.

I told my Hubby that I was trying to get healthy again. He just looked at me as if to say, yeah, right! He fussed all day about there not being any munchies in the house. So he went and got candy, cookies, and pizza. One of the packs of cookies being my favorite!!

Wonder what part of me getting healthy threatens him. I refuse to eat those cookies. I don't care if they get stale and I have to pitch them!!

Really cute blog - Yup! You just have to be strong - as I remember eating 2 pieces of pizza last night! LOL But, you and I know it is a lifestyle change...taking baby steps to get there. You let him do what he wants and you continue to do right by you. You go gir!!!

Good for you... Keep that kind of attitude and it will do you good. I know when I just recently started up again I got a similar reaction from my hubby but the further I get in my journey the more supportive he becomes. Maybe he just need a little time to see that you are really trying to do this for yourself. I will pray about it for you. emoticon

It IS threatening to our hubbies when we make healthy changes, it's so true! My husband laughs at me too when I ask him to try to bring better things in the house (since he does most of the shopping now).
He moans and groans about how HE should not be denied what he wants to eat, and it's not fair if I like the same things, but I say keep your head up!
Stay to the course. He might be surprised how much those things seem to have a hold on him and try to pull away from them too.
Boy, when my husband was pitching a fit over keeping his red vines I had to interrupt and tell him how silly he looked. It was licorice darn it! Ha!

Good for you! Stay strong! Let him eat his cookies and pizza and candy and you be the strong and healthy one who knows what is best for you.

It's hard to say what threatens him - maybe he doesn't like to be reminded that he doesn't eat healthy - and if you're refusing the junk it makes him think about it....
