I'm Back!

Friday, April 12, 2013

Small hiatus, but I'm back and ready to rock!

Getting back into running every day (I've been down to only 1-2 days/week) and reacquainting myself with my resistance bands (hello, old friends!)

The best part about working out isn't just firming up and getting my sweat on.

It reminds me to relax.
To breathe.
To meditate.
To de-stress.
To listen to good music.
To love my body.

and most importantly, to be proud of myself.

    Thanks, girl!

Oh my gosh -- tell me about it. They look like harmless, deflated, stretched out bike tires, but once you wrap them around your feet or tie them to the door, they become sweat-inducing MACHINES! I love that they make me feel like I lifted some 8 or 15 lb. weights, but they weigh less than a pound.

I think that sometimes we lose sight of what exercise can always be relied upon for; we may not always be dropping LBs or seeing our muscles tone, but each and every one of us undeniably feels AWESOME after giving it our all!

Best of luck on your journey too! Keep in touch!

Love this blog. Working out can be soooo relaxing and destressing.

I remembered my spirits were down earlier this week and my friend suggested I get in a workout to blow off some steam. I dug into my workout and felt soooo much better.

I just incorporated resistance bands into my workout and I must say I totally underestimated them. They are great for strength training.

    Good luck on your journey!
