Jamie Eason update, end of week 2

Tuesday, April 09, 2013

Hi everyone! Today was the last workout day of my week 2 in Jamie Eason's LiveFit program. So far so good! During week 1 I was a lot more sore than I have been this week. I actually haven't really been that sore at all this week and I'm not sure why... I did up my weight on some of the exercises and others I couldn't yet, but I don't know why I'm not sore this week. I wouldn't think my body would have adapted already. Another weird thing is that when I weighed myself and measured my body fat after the first week, I gained a pound but I lost 0.8% body fat... is that even possible in one week??? I was surprised! We'll see what it says on my next weigh in day. I should mention (and I'll say it again when I post about my body fat again) that with the Omron, there are 2 modes to choose from... normal mode and athlete mode. There's an equation that comes in the booklet to figure out which one you fit into, but I've been using it under normal mode lately. I just re-did the equation for my current workout regime and it puts me in athlete mode... which means my body fat will show about 1-2% lower than normal mode (I played around with it... they're about that much apart). So from now on my body fat measurements will be in athlete mode. I think the difference might have to do with how much you sweat, so you'll have a different % depending on which one you choose.

Also I still need to work on my food choices. I had a mental breakdown over the weekend with my boyfriend as a poor witness, so I know there's a lot more mental work I have to do. But my will power is no where near where it needs to be if I want to keep the same friends. I say that because one of Jillian's recent podcasts talked about making new friends to fit your new lifestyle, which is so true but sad at the same time because I have friends that want to be healthy but they won't go through with it and it sucks... plus it's really hard to make new friends or to even find other healthy people anymore. sigh.... but yes, I need to work on my will power with food.

Anyways enough of my rambling. I'll update you guys again in a little while. Keep it up!
