#8 Starting week 2

Saturday, April 06, 2013

Here goes to another week of blogging.

Got up early, walked a mile, threw a load of laundry and then walked another! Two full miles, a first! I did have to stop at. 1.5 miles to stretch out the knee, but made it to the end. Felt pretty good, still getting pain below my knee in my shin, but Aleve seemed to take the edge off.

Did good at the mexican restaurant. Had my chicken fajita with some of the veggies, only ate half of it. No chips!!! No soda!!! Yippee!

The made some ground turkey chili with chicken broth & swiss chard, and a pot of bean soup - so I have some quick lunch/dinner options that won't knock me off track next week.

Have a co-worker joining me in my efforts. It is always helpful to have someone at work to support you on those days the kitchen is overflowing with treats.

It has been a good week. I'd love to see the scale being a little kinder than it is, but I am going to just keep doing the right things and hope eventually it will catch up. I am sure the extra sodium from eating out Friday night and my slip on Wednesday had an effect on it.

Focusing on this upcoming week. I will be out of town for a long weekend with a few friends Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Both Friday and Sunday we will pretty much be confined to the car with a 12 hour drive ----so not much exercise is going to happen those days. I am packing some fruit, nuts and healthy low cal snacks. Will be eating out all three days - I am going to try to find chicken breast, fish or something healthy to order.

Going to try to get some extra exercise in early in the week, maybe some in the bank won't hurt! Feeling positive!

Way to plan ahead on dinner. Keeping the chips off the table was a good idea that was good for your friend too. Two miles in one morning is great.
