I Think I Need Some Cheese With This Whine:)

Yes I am going to whine a bit. As of right now I am over my maintenance range I'm so tired of fighting these same 3 to 5 pounds. On the bright side for the most part I have done well I reviewed my weighs with BLC since round 17 until 20 I'm sitting out 21 It was round 19 that I had 5 weeks of being out of range (4/25/12 to 7/18/12) Also checked out BLC Amethyst first round stayed good 2nd round is where I have run into trouble (12/12/12 to 2/20/13) and this round trouble 1st causal travelers (10/16/12 to 11/24/12 was in range.

I must do it I know i can I have seen the success in my maintenance I can do it again. I'm hoping the changes I have made will be the trick I need I have signed up for some 5K's that I'm hoping will do the trick Right now I am concentrating cardio but I do think I need to put back my strength training again

I will get this figured out one way or another I must ! It can be so disheartening at times this struggle. I know the end result is worth the struggle I wish I have learned the lessons better then I have.

    Isn't odd how it's never easy learning the same lesson over again? I also need to get my exercise in gear. Luckily aquafit starts again next Monday, April 8. But I need to do more at home too.

    Strength Training definitely helps me. It maybe doesn't burn as many calories as Cardio, but it lets the burning continue for longer.
    Also, I have read several times now that maintenance can be more difficult than losing the weight ....have you checked out the Weight Maintenance Team?

    I vote a big YES on strength training even though it doesn't burn many calories and it hurts. There, I've said it, it HURTS. So, not much fun to do like cardio can be (you get outside, you go places, etc) but I've found that I am able to lose much more if I am mixing in at least two good sessions of ST a week. I shoot for three. And remember, you need to "fatigue" the muscle for it to do any good, fatigue being lifter code for "make it cry". Yes, please do ST, it makes a huge difference AND you can feel it. I can. I love how my stomach feels if I've been consistently doing abs. Tight, lean, toned. Of course, that's just how it FEELS. How it looks and how that translates into muffin top remain unaffected yet because I still have many pounds to lose. I figure under all this fat, I've got a six-pack! emoticon

    It does get tiring fighting the same 5 pounds. I have been there. You get used to eating a certain way and then find that you must change things to start losing. Hang in there. You can do it. Keep focusing on your goal and you will get there. I think strength training is a good idea. More muscles burns off more caloried!

    I'm right there with you - as you know!It's the frustration of knowing what to do, knowing that we've done it before, and yet not getting back in to the right mindset! My weigh-in wasn't good either. I'm really trying hard to see why this has suddenly happened and I think part of it is that I've let myself get really tired so limiting my food is very difficult as in my mind food=energy, as well as a few other things like comfort and reward! Unfortunately, it also = extra kilos and the dreaded Kilo Creep has had me in its grasp for the last few weeks. But the challenges are there and I know emoticon and The Sooner The Better!!
