The Diet that Works!!!

The first week in January every new fad diet is advertised on TV, because everyone is focused on weight lossas their New Year's Resolution. On a morning news show I watched a presentation on "The 8 Hour Diet." The biggest "rule" is you can only eat in an 8-hour window (9-5, 11-7, etc.). There are super foods you should eat but there is no rule that you have to. At first I thought there is no way I could do that, I'm up for too many hours, and the rules have always been several small meals throughout the day. I dismissed the idea for a couple months.

About a month ago I talked to a friend at the gym who has a friend who lost a bunch of weight on the 8 Hour Diet. I gave it another thought. I even bought the Kindle book. I figured since I've tried about every fad out there, what would it hurt. I started with 10 - 6, but that made dinner difficult and I often ended up going over my 8 hours. I moved to 11 - 7 but I have lunch at 12. Eventually I went to 12-8 and it is really working. I have lost 7 lbs! That might not be much, but look how long I've been on this journey. I stick to the 8 hour plan most weekdays, and on weekends whenever possible. There are times I eat breakfast (before 12) and those days are just not diet days. I went 3 consecutive days without following it. I gained 3 lbs., but lost them the first day I got back on track.

I'm often afraid that I will fall off the track and lose focus, but I don't think that will happen with this diet because it is so easy to do. Go ahead give it a try!

    Here is the link to the book from Amazon, if you have a Kindle they have that version too.

    There is no calorie counting. Try to incorporate the following 8 superfood into your diet.
    lean protein
    nuts (not peanuts, they fall under the bean category)
    green fruits and veggies
    red fruits and veggies
    yellow/orange fruits and veggies
    blue fruits and veggies

    By only eating during an 8 hour period you are fasting for 16 hours per day. During the fast period your liver burns the stored fat in your body. During your eating time you supply your body with what it needs and then some, fast again, burn again. (The book explains it in greater detail)
    Follow it everyday, 3 days per week, 5 days per week, it is completely up to you. I try for everyday, but weekends are the toughest, so often times it is a Mon - Fri thing for me.
    Also important is limiting alcohol since this is all about liver function, the more you drink, the less you'll lose. And remember there are calories in alcohol so if you do indulge it needs to be within the 8 hours.
    1 cup of coffee or tea outside of you 8 hour window is okay, but to keep the calories as low as possible limit the cream, drink black if you can.
    That's about it.

    Can you please give more details? Are there any calorie restrictions? I am confused on why or how this works?
