Seeing results

Yesterday I was standing outside my apartment and a friend drove by in her jeep and yelled "holy sh*t -- look at you getting skinny." I had to laugh - I'm still at 200 lbs but thanked her for noticing the "getting skinny" (if slowly) part. I never looked my weight - people often said that to me - I carry it well or some such thing. I also have been toning up a lot - probably because of all my dancing and walking.

A few weeks ago I lost my job and I'm learning to 'behave' at home working next to the fridge again. But I'm still on my water drinking kick - almost a year now so that is officially a habit. I go everywhere with my water bottle and other than some occasonal alcohol or coffee, don't drink anything else. Haven't had a juice or soda drink in... can't even remember the last time!

I'm almost at my 20 pound goal and nearing a solid 200 (i'm still in that vacillating phase where its 201 one day, 202 another... and once I get there, i'll be buying myself my next reward: an immersion blender for making smoothies and soups from all the great fruits and veggies that are coming into being this season
