March 13th & 14th's Photo Blog...

Thursday, March 14, 2013

Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well today! Happy Thursday! Almost the weekend! emoticon

Here is March 13th's photo word: Messy

This is my little cub when he was 6 years old! We were having my oldest cub's 1st Communion party.

It was a beautiful Spring day, and what better to do, but play in the dirt! Hay, he's a boy cub, so that's just normal, hee hee. He was playing with his matchbox cars and having a great time!!! Not sure how the dirt got all over his face, but it made a cute picture!

It's funny, because all the "Messy" pictures I have, are of my youngest cub!!! hee hee

This is him enjoying an ice cream cone!

Today's Photo word: Branches
I was going to put these pictures for yesterday (messy), but since today's is branches, it fits perfectly.

These are the pictures from my 6 TALL pine trees that my husband had taken down in our back yard. This was in 2008. He had them taken down for many reasons... one, they were very tall and very flexible in the wind. My neighbor, who was a landscaper and knows an awful lot about lawns and trees, said they weren't safe and it was possible the could break, and ruin things like our house. No thank-you! Another reason was because my husband wanted a lawn in the back yard... roots from 6 pine trees didn't help!

So we had them taken down. To save money, my husband helped and got rid of all the trees himself. We were very lucky to have to men neighbors who got all excited to see trees and a chance to use power tools! They helped him some and what seemed like it would take forever, didn't and soon I had straw all over my level yard (because my husband was growing his grass)!

That winter, we had a huge ice storm. Many people had trees fall on their cars, houses, everything in our town. I'll tell you I was super excited those 6 trees were gone!

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day! Thanks again for stopping by my blog!
