I can't even keep track of how many days it's been since i recommitted to SP. I know it's been over a month and I feel good!
Well, right now I feel sore, very sore. VERY VERY SORE!
Yesterday I went to the Y that's connected to the Whole Foods so I could kill two birds with one stone. I like that Y but it's like a maze in there!
I was really sore from my impromptu 5k the day before so I just did 25 minutes on the elliptical and then a few weights in the free weights room. I wanted to find the better weight room so I started wandering around and stumbled upon the fitness class room.
There was a Zumba class starting in 20 minutes so I went back downstairs and did some more weights and stretches and then did a 55 minute Zumba class.
I figured "Zumba! That's pretty easy!"
That was Zumba.
It will be fun, after I go for a bit, but I was definitely too sore to go all hog wild, plus I didn't know the dances yet. It severely kicked my butt. It's good though, because it's something else I can mix up my routine with.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to run at least a mile in order to continue my 5k training. After I get off of here I'm going to do some stretches to try and relieve some of the pain in my quads and hammies.
I'm proud of myself for getting to the museum basically on time today! And for packing a lunch as to not eat at Corner Bakery. That place actually has food that isn't too bad for you but none of it is super appealing so I just made a quick parfait in the morning and ate that.
Last night I was pretty tired after my workout but I also took a sleep aid to ensure I didn't have another night of insomnia. Thankfully it worked and I woke up 10 minutes BEFORE my alarm!
I would like to continue to wake up early but I don't want to rely on sleep aids. We'll see how it goes.
I made an amazing soup tonight and I wanted to share it with anyone who reads my blog. It's a Red Lentil Coconut Curry and it is sooo good!
I added a carrot and an extra 1/2 cup of garbanzos that I had laying around. I plugged it into Spark Recipes and it was something like 140 calories per cup.
