Duathlon Training: Week 1

Wow! I hit it HARD this week! And, after 10 days of basically nothing. Yep, I'm sore! emoticon

Monday - nothing - daughter home sick (but should have at least done a video! Grr!)

Tuesday - biked 14 miles with group

Wednesday - ran 2.5 miles with group - 1st run in weeks - 1st run outdoors in months - ran HARD just to keep up with slowest runner, but managed to do it!

Thursday - biked 15 miles with group - faster group this day! rode HARD! Got 1st flat & practiced changing the front tire

Friday - BRICK workouts! Yikes! 1st, ran a mile on my own since group starting late. Then, did the following: bike 1.25 miles, run .25 miles, bike 2.50 miles, run .50 miles, bike 2.50 miles, run .50 miles. I was basically with one other lady and was trying my hardest to keep up with both the ride & the run! It was TOUGH!!! And I was already sore from everything else.

Saturday (tomorrow) - REST!

Very proud of what I accomplished this week & a great start to my duathlon training. Ten more weeks until my first duathlon!
