Trying Something New

Well. today is the start of a new page in the journal of me. Although exiting the bed this morning was a chore, I received the KICK of encouragement via my 2 year old to get me going. (my groin thanks him). A groggy me banged out 20 reps of rapid push-ups, followed by 7 painfully attained pull-ups.
Not much for a morning exercise, but I'm proud that I did something rather than nothing. I'm equally proud in the the strength of my door frame for not buckling under the pressure of holding me up for those 7 reps. Kudos Door Frame! yay you Too!!!
My plan today is to take a smart approach to snacking. usually at work I battle the racing to the vending machine to ward off the munchies, however I've come equipped with some carrots, and some cereal. Lunch is another task all together, I didn't have time to pack myself anything this morning with wrangling up the cattle (kids) so I'm going to have to leave work.(No the temptation!) leaving work to search for food is DANGEROUS..
I'm hungry, and I know there is healthy food out there, but I have to drive past all these fast food joints that just scream out to me!!! I need blinders.. or salad goggles. or a miniature eating healthy fairy who magically appears when I need the positive reinforcement. lol. I've been hanging out with my tykes to much.
So the quest begins.. the day has started. A deep breath.
