Vacations, and back again

Monday, January 28, 2013

Yep, I'm still here, or I'm back, whichever way you want to look at it. emoticon

I was on vacation for a week. Admittedly, it was an active vacation, as we were skiing in Colorado. It was absolutely gorgeous. By the way, there is no air out there. I can't imagine doing real exercise -- one flight of steps taken too quickly had me gasping for air.

The next week, my husband was on a business trip. That shouldn't affect me, but it did. So I used that excuse not to exercise (because my morning routine was disrupted). And not to Spark (because I didn't exercise and ... I don't know, denial or something). emoticon

But now, we are done with the excuses. Now I am back. Today I did my exercises again. And I have all my good foods here with me. And I am planning on getting my water in. And tracking on Spark, and a Blog, and Teams ... All of the things that are small but together make a big difference. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I don't think my eating was outrageous for the two weeks, but I'm sure it was a bit off, and there were some indulgences, and not tracking.m emoticon

I wont step on the scale until Wednesday. So I have 2 days to try to get it back in line, and it will be what it is. It will be my current starting point, so I can continue on my journey from there.m emoticon

I am the same way on vacations! I find there is so much to do on vacation the last thing I want to do is spend time tracking my food. I also don't like using hotel gyms or working out in 90 degree weather.

Now that you are back, I'm sure you'll be back on track in no time at all.

Everyone deserves a break from tracking. Good work on getting back into your routine and starting to exercise and track again. I bet you burned a lot of calories skiing so it may not be as bad on the scale as you might think.
