Cheers for Son#2, the Pilot who is off to Boston and who Blogged yesterday 4 me !!

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

son#2 the Pilot with Himself and I---
Yesterday I got up--switched on the desktop computer-----and----------it wouldn't connect to the web----THE MOST DREAD OF ALL!-----At first I thought it was because this computer is old------but-----It turned out that a fibre optic cable had been cut about 80 miles from here.--That ment no long distance telephone on the landline too!----
But there was some good news----Last week , we had switched cell phone carriers- and this new cell phone was still up and running--- It was like a miracle!!
I could call out------I could call-----SON #2, the Pilot with Air Canada------who was UP!--and best of all-----HE WAS HOME__--not on a pairing to TIMBUCKTOO----
Lordy Be!-----He was looking for the blog-------LOL------

After telling him how unconnected I was to the outside world, and giving him all the right passwords to connect to Spark--------HE DID IT FOR ME!--
He connected to SPARKPEOPLE-------so--my streak continues--
Bless his heart eh?

Last night when we were finally up and running , I read what he wrote---
He even had a picture on the blog of a ""power crew"" working on lines----
Now I tell you-----I was so impressed ---so proud!-----
A Pilot who Sparks for his Mom in an Emergency situation is some good person!!
He told me that he feels he knows a lot of my Spark friends----and says hello to all----
Right now he is making his way to the Airport in Toronto---to his flight to Boston this morning---
So----Pilots deserve a hug this morning----as do Power crews who rescued me from the Depths of Despair yersterday--
It's minus 29C here this morning-----Winter in the North! --Bring those dogs in----!--
Spark on Sparklers! It will add years to our lives!----- --Ariel view of our town--in case yu ever fly over----*S*

So happy that you are now reconnected to the outside world. Good that your cell phone still worked.

Your son did a good job yesterday, if we hadn't heard from you we might have been worried.

It's cold here in NB today also, still -20 at noon.

Stay bundled up and yes bring the dogs in

-29C is darn cold. I remember those days all too well in Wisconsin. Winter in Georgia beats winter up north.

Glad you are back on line. I know I spend too much time online and could get alot
done in the time I spend on the computer.

    Have a Sparky day.

It makes a mom proud, doesn't it, when a son solves your problems and gets involved...I leave all the techy stuff to my two sons! Bless their hearts!

Aaah...What a great son! And obviously Himself and Herself did a great job raising a caring, thoughtful, bright man! Good looking guy too!

I did get a ((grin)) over the things we will do to keep a SPARK Streak going, or grab more SPARK Points! emoticon

Isn't it funny how "Disconnected" we feel when we lose power, or connection to the internet?!

HUGS to son #21 And hope he has good weather for flying. It is cold here (well, by OUR standards . . . minus 5 degrees farenheit, with well below zero wind chills).

So glad you were able to keep your streak alive and that the cable and everything are working.

I have been having trouble with my cell phone so yesterday got an i-Phone . . . the last model, not the new one . . . for . . . NINETY NINE CENTS!!! I swear to you! I wasn't even considering getting an i-Phone, but just couldn't pass it up! Had to add a data plan so the cell bill will be about $20 dollars more/mth. but will be worth it for sure.

    Keep sparking my dear! HUGS

I showed this to my son and although he is 10, he assured me he would be willing to do the exact same thing for me --- if he knew how.

Glad to see you back on line.....did you get the link I sent you.

You are SO right! Son #2 is "some good person"! And great looking too! Bless his heart and BIG emoticon to him again.
I know what you mean, when I have been in dire straits, my son (#2 also) has logged in and spun the wheel for me too to keep my streak going LOL what we do for Spark.

WOW -29C and I thought we were bad...we are "only" -2F and I have been bellyaching already...I will shut my mouth.

I am so glad that you are up and running...and I totally agree...BRING THOSE ANIMALS INSIDE!

Have a GREAT day, Lynda, and son #2 and Himself, and Germans!
